THE DVAgency Files: Operation Sick "Leave"
Each day 58.000 Slovenian workers are on medical leave. The economy suffers a 1.200.000.000 € loss or 1,7% GDP. A few "sick leaves" mysteriously happen on Fridays, around national holidays or after vacation. Some are also, like, "if the boss doesn't give me a free day, I'll take a sick leave."
Slovenian proverb says "everyone prays to his god in his own way", but it's not only the economy that suffers - it's mostly unfair to the workers that are really ill, because of the costs that simulants are causing, they recieve worse treatment. Even more, somebody HAS to work and while the healthy ones areon "sick leave", the sick ones work. It's a double-edged sword.
